Freelance | £200 to £250 per day
London & Essex

Our client is looking for a technically confident and adaptable freelance production operator to work across a growing slate of live, podcast and digital productions. We're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck into technology, learning new systems and figuring things out.You don't need to have used every piece of equipment involved. You don't need years of specialist broadcast experience. But you do need to be technically capable, proactive and willing to get yourself up to speed. The work
The initial work includes a regular live YouTube production and three upcoming podcast shoot days, with the potential for further freelance work as new productions develop.

  • Operating an ATEM based camera switching system

  • Preparing and triggering graphics and other assets through OBS

  • Switching between cameras during the live production

  • Monitoring the technical workflow

  • Clipping content

  • Basic editing and post-production

Who we're looking for

learn it. You might be:

  • A technical production freelancer

  • An editor who enjoys working across production as well as post

  • A content creator with strong technical skills

  • A live streaming or digital production operator

  • A production assistant or technician looking to develop into a more technical role

  • Someone with experience across cameras, editing, podcasting or digital content production

Experience with ATEM, OBS or live streaming would be useful, but it isn't essential. What matters is that you have enough technical confidence and transferable experience to learn the setup, prepare properly and take responsibility for the technical side of the job. What matters most
We're looking for someone who:

  • Is technically confident and comfortable learning new systems

  • Takes the time to prepare properly before a job

  • Can get themselves up to speed with unfamiliar software or equipment

  • Is comfortable troubleshooting problems independently

  • Stays calm when things don't go exactly to plan

  • Is proactive, diligent and reliable

  • Enjoys working as part of a small team

  • Is happy to get stuck into different parts of a production where needed

  • Is honest about what they know and what they still need to learn

You don't need to know everything already. But you should be the kind of person who, when faced
with something unfamiliar, is willing to find out how it works.
